2023/2024 NPFL Match Day 16: Plateau United FC compounds Sporting Lagos FC woes

Noisy Lagos club, Sporting Lagos FC, was further pushed down the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) ladder as Plateau United FC defeated them by a lone goal on Match Day 16 of the 2023/2024 NPFL.


It was a sad day for the Paul Offor side who thought they could have done better with the game away at the Jos Township Stadium.


By the 75th minute, the game stood at 0-0 until Albert Hilary struck with a thunderbolt shot at close range to put the host in the lead.


However, both teams looked unconvincing, as the duo of Junior Lokosa and Jonathan Alukwu appeared hapless throughout the game.


The Tech Boys' attempt at goal in the 29th minute was rebuffed by Plateau United FC's goalkeeper.


Sporting Lagos FC's Chisom Orji lost his marker with a drop of the shoulder before unleashing a powerful shot at goal, but Plateau United FC's goalie forced the ball wide.
