2023/2024 NPFL Match Day 13: Remo Stars back on top of the table

Remo Stars returned to the summit of the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) on Sunday after a comfortable 2-0 win over visiting Kwara United.


The free-scoring Sky Blue Stars wasted no time asserting their authority over the Afonja Warriors of Ilorin in the 2023/2024 NPFL Match Day 13 played in Ikenne. They scored two goals against the visitors and secured a clean sheet.


Remo Stars, who have scored 19 goals so far in the season, added to their tally with the 2-0 win over Kwara United, reclaiming the top spot.


Adedayo Olamilekan's 25th-minute strike and Samad Kadiri's goal in the 69th minute gave the Gbenga Ogunbodede side a 26-point lead, overtaking Doma United, who occupied the position following their 1-0 home win over Kano Pillars on Saturday.


Remo Stars now have 26 points in 13 matches with eight wins, two draws, and three losses.


On the other hand, Kwara United FC has 13 points in 13 matches, with three wins, six draws, and four losses.
