2023/2024 NNL Match Day: Abia Comets on cruise control, maintains unbeaten streak

Actions continued in the 2023/2024 Nigeria National League season in Conferences A, B, C, and D across the country.

Abia Comets extended their unbeaten run to eight matches despite being held to a 1-1 draw in Umuahia, moving up to the 6th position on the log in Conference A.

High-flying Madiba FC walked over Vandrezzer FC, stretching their lead on the log to 31 points, followed by Beyond Limits on 22 points, who defeated Ekiti United 2-0 in Ikenne.

Other results in Conference A include Stommers FC 2-1 Smart City, Coal City 3-0 Dakkada FC, while the game between 1472 FC and Edel FC will take place on Monday.

In Conference B, the race for playoff qualification is tight as Ikorodu City and Inter Lagos are joint league leaders on 20 points while the Oga Boys have a superior goal difference of plus 8.

Ikorodu City was held to a barren draw by Ijebu United, while Inter Lagos enjoyed a comfortable 3-0 win over Solution FC.

Gateway United thrashed Warri Wolves 4-0, while FC One Rocket and Osun United shared the spoils. It also ended one apiece between Giant Brillars and Crown FC.

In Conference C comprising teams in the Northern region, Nasarawa United kept their hopes alive of getting the playoffs ticket with a one-nil away victory over NAF FC.

Wikki Tourists of Bauchi also secured a vital point on the road, holding ABS FC of Ilorin to a 1-1 draw to maintain their lead on the log while El-Kanemi Warriors picked up the maximum points away from home against EFCC FC.

Yobe Desert Stars also secured an away victory over struggling Zamfara United with a 2-0 win while Mighty Jets FC were on standby for match day 11 actions in Conference C.

In Conference D, Sokoto United led the log on 19 points after holding closest challengers, Sporting Supreme FC, to a stalemate.

Mailanatarki Care FC played out a goalless draw with Adamawa United, while Jigawa Golden Stars beat Kebbi United 1-0. City FC walked over Malumfashi FC.
