The VALORANT Challengers Americas Last Chance Qualifier has sparked concerns about Riot Games' plans for the VCT ecosystem in 2027 after the tournament was hit by a series of technical problems.

The LCQ was designed to provide one final route toward the next stage of the competitive VALORANT pathway, with teams from North America, Brazil and Latin America competing for the available spot. Riot's official format had the three teams play a round-robin stage before the decisive Grand Final.
