The Ultimate Gaming Championships (UGC) and Global Domination Events (GDE) have announced a major international Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports tournament titled Global Domination: Invasion. Open to players of all levels, the tournament is set to culminate in a LAN final with a $1 million prize pool this August. Both amateur and professional players can participate, making the competition one of the most inclusive large-scale CS2 events to date.
Kicking off on June 17th, the tournament will begin with online regional qualifiers held across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Successful teams from each region will move on to the Territory Finals in July, where each region will compete for a share of $100,000. This multi-phase format aims to highlight talent from across the globe and give teams a structured path toward the grand final.
The top teams from the Territory Finals will be flown to Oklahoma City’s Paycom Center for the Live Championships from August 29th to 31st. The final stage of the event will gather the world’s best CS2 squads to battle it out for the $1 million prize pool. Adding to the excitement, the grand finals will coincide with the BLAST Open Fall 2025, which runs from August 27th to September 7th.
In addition to the competition, the Paycom Center finals will feature live music and high-end gaming hardware provided by AMD, with production support from Mammoth Live. Matt Jackson, CEO of UGC, encouraged both players and fans to join in, promising a high-energy atmosphere and memorable moments. He emphasized that this is a unique chance for aspiring pros to showcase their skills on a global stage while enjoying a full-scale entertainment experience.
