Team Vitality and Aurora Gaming Advance to IEM Kraków 2026 Playoffs

Team Vitality and Aurora Gaming have both booked their places in the IEM Kraków 2026 playoffs after dominant performances in the Group B upper bracket. The two teams swept past their opponents—Team Vitality defeating 3DMAX and Aurora Gaming overcoming MOUZ—securing spots in the upper bracket final and ensuring their positions among the tournament’s top six.

Team Vitality, the defending Major champions, continued their strong form following a 2-0 victory over BC.Game. Facing 3DMAX, the French squad demonstrated why their all-French lineup has become a force on the international stage. Inferno set the tone, with Team Vitality controlling the map from start to finish, winning 13-6.

Shahar ‘flameZ‘ Shushan led the charge with 21 eliminations, while Dust II saw the team dominate the opening half, taking nine of the first 12 rounds. Although 3DMAX fought back with three rounds in the second half, Team Vitality’s resilient defense secured a clean 2-0 sweep and maintained their flawless map record in Kraków.

Aurora Gaming also impressed, earning their first playoff spot since winning the PGL Masters Bucharest 2025. After struggling to reach Stage 3 of the Budapest Major, the Turkish team’s addition of Caner ‘soulfly‘ Kesici has proved decisive. On Dust II, Aurora Gaming kept pace with MOUZ throughout the first half before their defense in the second half stifled the opponents, leading to a 13-7 win.

 Engin ‘MAJER‘ Küpeli was instrumental, recording 17 eliminations. The team carried their momentum into Inferno, building an 8-4 halftime lead and holding off MOUZ’s late rally to close the map 13-9, completing another 2-0 sweep.

With these victories, Team Vitality and Aurora Gaming join G2 Esports and Team Spirit in the IEM Kraków 2026 playoffs. The two teams will now face each other in the Group B upper bracket final, which will determine seeding for the playoffs. The winner will advance directly to the semi-finals, while the runner-up begins their playoff run in the quarter-finals, setting the stage for a highly anticipated clash between two of the tournament’s most in-form squads.
