Team Liquid Replace Nisha With MidOne for BLAST Slam 8

Team Liquid will enter BLAST Slam 8 with veteran mid-laner Yeik Nai “MidOne” Zheng replacing Michał “Nisha” Jankowski, with the organisation yet to publicly explain the change.

The roster switch was revealed through BLAST’s official participant list published on September 25 rather than through an announcement from Team Liquid. The updated lineup lists MidOne alongside Michael “miCKe” Vu, Adrian “Wisper” Dobles, Samuel “Boxi” Svahn and Erik “tOfu” Engel, with William “Blitz” Lee remaining as coach.

Nisha’s omission is particularly notable given his established role with Team Liquid. The Polish mid-laner is absent from the squad registered for the tournament, while there has been no official explanation from the organisation regarding whether his absence is temporary or signals a longer-term change.

MidOne, meanwhile, brings considerable experience to the lineup. The Malaysian veteran has previously played for prominent teams including Fnatic and Team Secret and returns to a top-level international event with Liquid. His inclusion gives the organisation an experienced option in the mid lane ahead of its BLAST Slam 8 campaign.

Team Liquid’s new-look roster is scheduled to make its tournament appearance when BLAST Slam 8 begins on September 29. The event will run until October 11 in Malta and features 16 teams competing for a $750,000 prize pool.

The organisation had already made another change to its Dota 2 roster following The International, bringing Wisper into the team in place of Ace. The latest MidOne-Nisha switch therefore adds another layer of uncertainty around Liquid’s lineup heading into the new tournament cycle.

For now, MidOne’s status appears limited to BLAST Slam 8, with no public confirmation that he has permanently replaced Nisha. Further clarification from Team Liquid could determine whether the change is a tournament-specific adjustment or part of a broader roster restructuring.
