Posted : 21 March 2024

The management of Rangers International Football Club of Enugu, under the leadership of Barr. Amobi Ezeaku, has officially launched its E-Sports team after signing an MOU with a private firm, Legacy Gaming Limited, to establish and oversee their e-sports division.

During a brief session at the club's corporate headquarters, the CEO, Barrister Amobi Ezeaku, challenged the firm to come up with the right mix of E-players and instructors to ensure that the Rangers E-Sports team competes and wins championships both domestically and internationally.

"E-Sports is a viable path to take, and I believe that in a very short period, we shall be celebrating victories in E-SPORTS. The management will ensure that all that is needed to push this will be made available," stated the young club boss.

With this move, Rangers now proudly stands as the first club in Nigeria to venture into the world of e-sports.

During the meeting, key figures such as Chukwuebuka Gideon Agbasi, COO of Legacy Gaming Limited, and George Nnamani, CEO of Legacy Limited, were present.

Notably, Bienouma Agaga-Akpati, one of their players on the EAFC game title, joined the gathering as the club embarks on a groundbreaking journey into the realm of competitive E-gaming.
