Yoon ‘LowHigh’ Sun-woong of DRX emerged as the champion of the Tekken World Tour (TWT) 2025 Finals, claiming his first title at the circuit-ending event and taking home a $100,000 prize. The tournament concluded on February 1st in Malmö, Sweden, featuring the top-performing players from the 2025 season.
In the Grand Finals, LowHigh defeated fellow South Korean competitor Park ‘Mangja’ Geon-ho of Virtus.pro with consecutive 3–0 victories, demonstrating dominance in both sets.
LowHigh’s journey to the title was far from smooth. After falling 1–3 to Mangja in the winners’ semifinals, he was sent to the lower bracket. From there, he mounted a remarkable comeback, winning three consecutive matches to earn a rematch against Mangja in the Grand Finals.
Using Bryan, LowHigh swept Mangja’s Law in back-to-back sets without dropping a single round following the bracket reset, underscoring his technical skill and composure under pressure.
Following his victory, LowHigh reflected on the significance of winning his first TWT Finals. He described the achievement as validation for the choices he had made throughout his career and admitted that dropping into the loser’s bracket had made him fear his tournament run might end prematurely.
He also acknowledged the support of his teammates and staff, highlighting Infe’s help in staying prepared between matches and Knee’s strategic feedback, which allowed him to maintain focus and composure during high-pressure moments.
The Malmö event also showcased a growing rivalry in competitive Tekken, particularly between South Korean and Pakistani players. Alongside LowHigh and Mangja, other South Korean talents such as Bae ‘Knee’ Jae-min and Lim ‘Ulsan’ Soo-ho made strong showings, while Pakistani competitors Atif Butt, Farzeen, and Usama Abbasi finished inside the top eight.
LowHigh’s victory continued a strong start to 2026. In January, he also claimed the SOOP Tekken League 2025 Season 2 Finals title, narrowly defeating Knee 3–2. These back-to-back victories highlighted his resurgence as a top competitor in the fighting game community, building on his previous achievements, including his 2018 Tekken 7 win at EVO.
With the Tekken World Tour title now secured, LowHigh enters the 2026 competitive season with heightened expectations, cementing his status as one of the premier Tekken players on the international stage.
