Riot Games has unveiled a fresh collection of in-game emotes for League of Legends, designed to represent teams from the LCK, LPL, LCP, and LTA. A percentage of the revenue from these purchases will be shared with the respective teams, allowing fans to directly support their favorite rosters.
The release follows the launch of the LEC’s official team emotes, which Riot introduced for its franchised teams in August 2024. Each emote costs 350 RP (approximately $2.54/£2.73), with 30% of the proceeds going straight to the associated team.
Players can permanently unlock the emotes through the in-game store and assign them to the emote wheel for use in both casual and competitive matches.
This new wave of esports emotes comes at a pivotal time for League of Legends competitive play, as several of the teams featured are preparing for the 2025 World Championship in China, scheduled from October 14 to November 9, boasting a $5 million (~£3.7 million) prize pool.
Additionally, the 2025 Asia Invitational will take place from October 6 to 12, featuring teams from the LPL, LCK, and LCP that did not qualify for Worlds. Hosted by Huya, Douyu, and Bilibili, eight teams will compete for a share of the CNY 1.5 million (~£154,523) prize pool.
These emotes provide fans with a unique way to engage with the competitive scene while supporting the teams competing in these high-profile tournaments.
