Guild Esports welcomes Paul Kingsley as CFO amidst strategic expansion

Guild Esports, a UK-based esports organization, has appointed Paul Kingsley as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Company Secretary. Kingsley, who previously served as CFO for UNiDAYS, a student discount website, brings extensive financial expertise to Guild Esports.

 

He has a background in technology, having worked as CFO for Edge.network, and has experience with beverage companies such as Coca-Cola, Schweppes, and Diageo. Kingsley replaces Clare Jarvis, the outgoing CFO, and joins Guild at a crucial time as the organization has recently secured investments and expanded into new esports titles like Counter-Strike and Street Fighter.

 

Guild Esports is poised for a significant year, marked by strategic investments and sponsorships. The organization raised £1 million from an unnamed esports brand and broadened its partnerships, including an expanded collaboration with telecommunications company Sky and a new partnership with Merky FC, a venture by British rapper Stormzy and Adidas.

 

Additional partnerships with trading platform ENDX and the renewal of a longstanding collaboration with Subway further highlight Guild's growth on the commercial front. Jasmine Skee, CEO of Guild Esports, expressed excitement about Kingsley's appointment, emphasizing his strategic financial experience and understanding of the Gen Z demographic, aligning with Guild's focus on esports, gaming, and media.

 

Paul Kingsley's 25 years of strategic financial and C-Suite experience position him as a valuable asset for Guild's brand enhancement and future growth. His recent role at UNiDAYS, where he gained insight into the Gen Z demographic, aligns with Guild's esports-and-gaming-focused media business, making him a key addition to the senior leadership team.
