FlyQuest and Theta Labs Unveil AI-Powered Chatbot for Esports Fans

North American esports organization FlyQuest has teamed up with AI and blockchain company Theta Labs to introduce an AI-powered chatbot named a.PHiD. The chatbot, utilizing Theta’s EdgeCloud technology, is designed to assist fans by providing information on topics such as team rosters, match schedules, results, and statistics. Fans will be able to access a.PHiD via FlyQuest's official website and its Discord channel, creating a more interactive and engaging experience.

 

FlyQuest, a prominent esports organization primarily known for its involvement in League of Legends, was acquired by the Viola family office—owners of the NHL’s Florida Panthers—in 2022. The organization recently secured the final LCS championship title before the league was restructured into a new Americas competition. This partnership with Theta Labs marks a step forward in enhancing fan interactions, particularly with the addition of the innovative AI chatbot.

 

The collaboration centers on Theta’s EdgeCloud technology, which powers the chatbot’s ability to engage with fans on topics ranging from FlyQuest results and roster updates to merchandise and off-season developments. Furthermore, the chatbot is equipped with the Riot Games League of Legends API, allowing it to provide real-time updates on FlyQuest matches, making it a valuable resource for fans seeking immediate information.

 

FlyQuest CEO Brian Anderson expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting its potential to revolutionize fan engagement. He emphasized that the integration of Theta Labs’ advanced technology will offer unique, personalized experiences for fans. According to Anderson, this initiative represents an unprecedented level of interaction in League of Legends, bringing fans closer to the action than ever before.
