Cloud9 Kia Partners with Conviction for NACL 2025 Season

Posted : 22 May 2025

Cloud9 Kia has revealed a partnership with Conviction to support their League of Legends roster for the North American Challengers League (NACL) 2025 season. As part of the collaboration, Cloud9 will provide coaching expertise through their Strategic Coach Marius ‘Veigar V2’ Aune and Assistant Coach Nicholas ‘Inero’ Smith to help develop Conviction’s team.

This move underscores Cloud9’s dedication to nurturing emerging talent within North America’s competitive League scene. Currently competing in the NACL Split 1 2025 Playoffs, Conviction expressed enthusiasm about the new partnership, highlighting the potential growth and opportunities it brings.

The team, which debuted its updated roster after acquiring Tempest Gaming’s lineup in March 2025, consists of players Chris ‘Horder’ Feng, James ‘Kisno’ Woo, Isaac ‘DARKWINGS’ Chou, Aaron ‘Chrome’ Li, Daniel ‘Minui’ Zhang Mingshui, with Samuel ‘boc’ Boudrie as head coach. Boudrie also welcomed the collaboration, expressing eagerness to work alongside Cloud9.

This collaboration marks another significant step for Cloud9 in a year packed with expansions and strategic moves. Earlier in 2025, the organisation partnered with Kia America, branding its League of Legends team as Cloud9 Kia, and broadened its esports footprint by adding new teams in games like Rainbow Six Siege, while revamping its presence in titles such as Call of Duty.

The alliance with Conviction fits into Cloud9’s broader vision of investing in future talent and strengthening its competitive edge across multiple gaming titles.
