BLAST Premier Open 2026 Set for Rotterdam’s Ahoy Arena

BLAST has announced that the BLAST Premier Open 2026 will be held at the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam, Netherlands, from March 27th to 29th. The tournament will feature 16 of the world’s leading Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) teams competing for a total prize pool of $400,000 (~£297,789), with the top six teams advancing to the main stage in Rotterdam.

 

As with most CS2 events, 12 teams will receive direct invitations based on the global Valve rankings, while the remaining four spots will be decided through open qualifiers. The competition will initially take place at BLAST’s Copenhagen studios to determine the six squads that will play on-site at the Ahoy Arena. The venue previously hosted the 2019 League of Legends European Championship Spring Finals.

 

The announcement comes ahead of the BLAST Open London 2025 playoffs, scheduled at the OVO Arena Wembley with a combined $330,000 (~£245,676) prize pool. For the Rotterdam event, BLAST will collaborate with Friendly Fire, a subsidiary of international event organiser FKP Scorpio. Tickets go on presale on October 23rd, with general sales starting on October 24th at 10 AM BST.

 

BLAST has steadily expanded its presence in the esports scene throughout 2025, hosting tournaments across new markets including Hong Kong, Singapore, Rio de Janeiro, Munich, Austin, and Boston. This year, the BLAST Open reportedly drew over 89 million views worldwide, further cementing the company’s global reach.
