Tyson Fury has stepped up his verbal attacks on Anthony Joshua, accusing his fellow Briton of being a “coward” as negotiations for their highly anticipated heavyweight clash continue. Fury delivered the latest criticism in a video posted to Instagram, expressing frustration over the lack of a finalized agreement.

The two former world champions are targeting a November 20 meeting, with Madison Square Garden in New York emerging as the leading venue. However, the location remains a major sticking point, as Joshua's team has preferred a UK stadium, particularly Wembley, while the organizers are pushing for the event to take place in the United States.

Fury said he has been willing to accept every location proposed during the negotiations and questioned why Joshua's side has yet to agree to the fight. He claimed Joshua has repeatedly had opportunities to face him and suggested that the 36-year-old does not genuinely want the contest.

The venue dispute has become the principal obstacle. Joshua's existing agreement reportedly calls for the fight to be staged in the UK, while the organizers are keen on New York because of the commercial potential of a US event and its appeal to Netflix's American audience. Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, has indicated that his team would consider New York if additional financial and contractual conditions are satisfied.

Fury's latest comments come after Joshua returned to action in July, stopping Kristian Prenga in the second round. Joshua was knocked down twice during the opening round before recovering to secure the knockout victory, leaving him with a win ahead of the proposed Fury showdown.

Despite the continued uncertainty, Fury has remained eager to make the fight happen. Recent reports indicate that the two sides are still communicating, although Joshua and his representatives have yet to formally confirm the New York venue. Fury himself has now publicly indicated that Madison Square Garden is the intended destination, although the final agreement remains subject to confirmation.

If completed, the contest would finally deliver one of boxing's most anticipated all-British heavyweight matchups, pitting Fury against Joshua for the first time in their professional careers.
