Two Dead as Anthony Joshua Suffers Minor Injuries in Lagos Road Crash

Two people have reportedly lost their lives following a serious road accident in Nigeria involving a vehicle carrying world-renowned boxer Anthony Joshua. The incident occurred on Monday along the busy Lagos-Ibadan expressway, a major transport corridor known for heavy traffic.

Eyewitness accounts indicate that the Lexus vehicle in which Joshua was travelling collided with a stationary truck under circumstances that are yet to be fully explained. The crash happened during the daytime and led to significant traffic disruption in the area as emergency responders moved in.

Sources at the scene confirmed that Joshua escaped with only minor injuries and was attended to by medical personnel. However, two other individuals were pronounced dead at the scene, with their identities yet to be made public. Security agencies and rescue officials reportedly remained in the area for several hours after the incident.

Local police have since opened an investigation to determine the cause of the crash, including whether factors such as road conditions or human error played a role. As of the time of reporting, there has been no official statement from Anthony Joshua or his representatives.

The 36-year-old British-Nigerian boxer remains one of the most influential figures in modern boxing. A two-time heavyweight world champion, Joshua recently returned to the spotlight with a high-profile victory over Jake Paul, further cementing his status as a global sporting icon.
