Patrick Ocheme to Headline PFL Africa 2 in Johannesburg Against Mohamed Camara

Posted : 12 June 2025

Nigerian MMA fighter Patrick Ocheme is set to headline the second Professional Fighters League (PFL) Africa event on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the Big Top Arena in Carnival City, Johannesburg, South Africa. Ocheme will face Guinea's Mohamed Camara in a featherweight first-round bout, marking a significant step in the inaugural PFL Africa tournament.

Ocheme, known by his nickname "Star Boi," enters the bout with a professional record of 6 wins and 1 loss. Camara, dubbed "Lamo," boasts a record of 5 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw. Both fighters are considered among the top talents in West Africa, and their matchup is anticipated to be a pivotal moment in the tournament.

In the co-main event, Angola's Shido Boris Esperanca (9-1) will take on Gambia's Ibrahima Mané (14-5) in a welterweight first-round bout. Esperanca aims to continue his momentum following a successful PFL debut, while Mané seeks to make a statement on the international stage.

The Johannesburg event is part of PFL Africa's broader initiative to showcase the continent's premier MMA talent. A total of 32 fighters representing 15 African nations will compete across four divisions in 2025, culminating in the crowning of the first-ever PFL Africa Champions.

Tickets for the event will go on sale on Thursday, June 12, via TicketPro. Fans are encouraged to secure their seats early for what promises to be an electrifying night of mixed martial arts action.
