Lauren Price has made a bold call for a blockbuster fight with American boxing star Claressa Shields, insisting there is no need to delay what she believes could be a defining moment in women’s boxing. Following her successful title defence against Stephanie Piñeiro in Cardiff, Price confronted Shields in the ring, intensifying discussions around a potential super-fight between two of the sport’s most decorated athletes.

The Welsh champion, who holds multiple world titles at welterweight, said she is currently in peak condition and eager to face the biggest names in the sport.
