Organized and sponsored by the Olumide Oyedeji Youth Foundation, the championship brings together 18 higher institutions from across Nigeria, all vying for the coveted title of “Intercollegiate 3×3 King.”
Heading into the finals, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria remain undefeated and are clear title favourites, having displayed remarkable consistency and defensive dominance throughout the competition.
Hot on their heels is University of Osun (UNIOSUN), Oshogbo, who have only suffered one loss—ironically against ABU Zaria. Their high-scoring offense makes them strong contenders in today’s fixtures.
In third place sits Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho, with two victories to their name. Lead City University, Ibadan, and Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ife, follow closely behind with mixed results, while Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, are still in search of their first win.
The final round of games is scheduled to begin by 2:00 PM, with all eyes on the Dolphins Court as Nigeria’s next generation of basketball stars battle it out for collegiate glory.
The event is a flagship initiative of the Olumide Oyedeji Youth Foundation, which also sponsors Hoops N’ Read Basketball Club, and continues to drive youth empowerment and sports excellence in Nigeria.
