First Bank and MFM continued their impressive starts to the 2026 Zenith Bank Nigeria Premier Basketball League for women, maintaining their unbeaten records after three rounds of action in the Atlantic Conference in Lagos.
The Elephant Girls, as First Bank are popularly known, produced another dominant display on Tuesday, thrashing First Deep Water 73-29 at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Lagos, to register their third consecutive victory.
MFM also maintained their perfect start with a commanding 67-38 victory over Royal Aces, recording their third straight win and further strengthening their position among the early title contenders.
Defending champions Dolphins recovered from their Day 2 setback in style, defeating IGP Queens 58-43 to return to winning ways.
In another closely fought encounter, newcomers Victoria Queens secured their first victory of the campaign, edging Bayelsa Blue Whales 48-43.
Meanwhile, the Savannah Conference got underway on Tuesday, with Air Warriors setting the pace in emphatic fashion. They swept aside Nasarawa Amazons 89-45 to begin their campaign with a massive 44-point victory.
Nigeria Customs also made a winning start, overcoming Titan 62-51, while debutants Aso SkyQueens announced their arrival with a 48-38 triumph over Plateau Rocks.
Action continues today in the Atlantic Conference, with First Bank taking on Bayelsa Blue Whales at 10 a.m., while Dolphins battle Victoria Queens. Royal Aces will face IGP Queens, before MFM confront First Deep Water in the final game of the day.
At the end of the conference phase, the top four teams from each of the Atlantic and Savannah Conferences will qualify for the finals scheduled to take place in Lagos later in the year.
