Storm Basketball Club emerged champions of the North Central Basketball 3-on-3 Challenge tournament, which concluded at the Sports Arena, Old Airport, Jos.
The final thrilled spectators, as Dam Foundation started strong, converting every basket after the jump ball. Just when it seemed Dam Foundation would seal victory, Storm mounted a spirited comeback, showing remarkable resilience to win 13–11.
After a series of intense matches across nine rounds, champions were crowned at the maiden edition of the NCBC 3x3 tournament.
The competition featured 36 teams, each comprising three male and one female player, showcasing talent from across Plateau State.
Tournament organizer Bek Jang, team manager of Hot Coal Basketball Club, explained that the initiative aimed to engage local youth and basketball players in celebration of Nigeria’s Democracy Day. He also expressed intentions to extend the championship to all North Central states.
Awards were presented to the Best Player, Most Valuable Player (MVP), and other outstanding participants.
