Stephen Curry confirmed on NBC that he will return to compete in the 3-point contest at the 2027 NBA All-Star Weekend in Phoenix.
Speaking while sidelined from the All-Star Game with a knee injury, Curry cited Damian Lillard’s recent victory in Los Angeles as inspiration and expressed interest in convincing former teammate Klay Thompson to participate alongside him.
Curry previously won the 3-point contest in 2015 in New York and 2021 in Atlanta, his last appearance, while Thompson claimed the title in 2016 in Toronto.
Lillard’s recent third victory in the contest highlights the elite company Curry could join should he secure another win, potentially making him a three-time champion as well.
The Golden State Warriors star holds the NBA record for most career 3-pointers and has led the league in the category eight times.
This season, he is shooting 39.1% from beyond the arc, underscoring his continued dominance and making him a favorite to reclaim the 3-point crown next year.
