The reigning MVP delivered a career playoff-high 42 points on highly efficient shooting, finishing 15-of-18 from the field and adding key free throws down the stretch. His performance included driving finishes, contested jump shots, and success even against double teams, showcasing complete offensive control throughout the game.

Late in the fourth quarter, Gilgeous-Alexander capped a dominant stretch with an aggressive transition score through contact, then celebrated emphatically toward his bench, expressing that he did not need favourable calls to dominate the game.
