The reigning NBA Most Valuable Player also delivered the crucial basket that forced overtime before taking control as the defending champions sealed victory.
The win improved Oklahoma City’s record to 31-7, keeping them firmly at the summit of the Western Conference. Center Chet Holmgren played a key supporting role, recording a strong double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds.

The Denver Nuggets remained third in the Western Conference after edging the Boston Celtics 114-110 on the road. In the Eastern Conference, the New York Knicks snapped a four-game losing streak by beating the Los Angeles Clippers 134-111, a result that saw the Celtics slip to third place in the standings.
Eastern Conference leaders Detroit Pistons continued their impressive form, moving to 28-9 after a 108-93 victory over the Chicago Bulls, highlighted by Isaiah Stewart’s career-high 31 points.
