NBA Schedule Highlights January Returns for Giannis and Jaylen Brown

The NBA has unveiled its complete 2026-27 regular-season schedule, with several high-profile reunions set to headline the campaign. Among the most eagerly awaited are Giannis Antetokounmpo's return to Milwaukee and Jaylen Brown's comeback to Boston after both stars changed teams during the offseason.

Antetokounmpo will make his first appearance at Fiserv Forum as a member of the Miami Heat on January 28. The two-time MVP spent the first 13 seasons of his career with the Bucks, leading the franchise to the 2021 NBA championship before moving to Miami. The matchup will also reunite former Heat teammates Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo, with Herro now part of Milwaukee's roster.

Brown's emotional return to TD Garden is scheduled for January 21, when his Philadelphia 76ers face the Celtics. Brown spent his first 10 NBA seasons in Boston, winning the 2024 Finals MVP award before being traded to Philadelphia during the offseason.

The schedule also features several other notable reunions. LaMelo Ball will return to Charlotte with the Minnesota Timberwolves on February 15, while Trae Young will visit Atlanta with the Washington Wizards on November 6 after spending more than seven seasons with the Hawks.

The league's newest top draft selections will also receive plenty of attention. Washington's No. 1 pick AJ Dybantsa is set to make his NBA debut against Milwaukee on October 21, while his first regular-season meeting with No. 2 pick Darryn Peterson is scheduled for February 27. Dybantsa will then face Cooper Flagg, the previous No. 1 pick, when Washington travels to Dallas on March 11.

The defending champion New York Knicks will also renew their Finals rivalry with the San Antonio Spurs on Christmas Day at Madison Square Garden before visiting San Antonio on March 7.
