Mighty Jets Soar to Victory in Jos City Tournament Opener

The Mighty Jets Int’l Basketball Team made a powerful statement in their opening game at the Jos City Tournament, securing a commanding 70–38 victory over Rebirth BA2 at the Azi Nyako Youth Center.

Supporters of the Jets, dressed proudly in team colors, filled the arena with excitement and energy — a response to the management’s earlier call for strong fan presence. The electric atmosphere fueled the players, who delivered a thrilling performance from start to finish.

From solid defense to sharp offensive transitions, the Jets dominated every phase of the game, showcasing precision, teamwork, and dazzling skill. Their fluid ball movement and fast-paced attacks left the opposition struggling to keep up.

A visibly pleased Coach Chika Okammor praised his players’ performance, highlighting their transition-based build-up play and discipline on the court.

“I’m particularly happy with how we executed our transitions. We’ll keep working to perfect that area as well as improve our long-range shooting,” Okammor said after the game.
