MFM Women Dominate Again in Zenith Bank Basketball League, Eye Third Consecutive Title

The defending champions of the Zenith Bank Women Basketball League, MFM Women Basketball Team, have maintained their dominance in the ongoing competition as they continue their chase for a third consecutive title.

 

MFM delivered a commanding performance in their second game of the 1st Phase of the Atlantic Conference, thrashing First Deep Waters 74–26 at the Sam Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin, Edo State.

 

Following a comfortable 55–25 win over Bayelsa Blue Whales in their opening game, the defending champions once again displayed their superiority as they fight to complete a title hat-trick.

 

Meanwhile, First Bank Women Basketball Team also recorded back-to-back wins, defeating Bayelsa Blue Whales 60–39 in a hard-fought match as they aim to reclaim their place at the top of Nigerian women’s basketball.

 

Both MFM and First Bank have now won their opening two games and are looking ahead to the second round of the competition with their sights firmly set on reaching the final phase.

 

Having secured the last two league titles, MFM Women are determined to clinch a third straight championship as they continue their unbeaten run in the 2025 edition of the Zenith Bank Women Basketball League.
