Lakers Coach JJ Redick Reflects on Loss of Home in Devastating LA Wildfires

Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick has described the overwhelming loss of his home in the recent LA wildfires, calling it "devastation and destruction." The wildfires have claimed at least 11 lives and destroyed over 10,000 homes, with Redick's property in Pacific Palisades among the hardest hit.

 

 He shared his heartbreak, revealing that his home, which held two decades of memories with his wife and 10 years of parenting, was completely burned down, leaving behind irreplaceable losses.

 

In the aftermath of the destruction, the Lakers postponed their game against the Charlotte Hornets, and the NBA also rescheduled the Lakers and LA Clippers home games scheduled for Saturday.

 

Redick, who moved to LA in June after a 15-year NBA career, expressed the difficulty of preparing for such a loss. Fortunately, his wife and two sons were not at home when the fire broke out.
