Adamu Janlong, the North Central Representative on the Board of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), announced on Thursday that a three-day basketball championship is set to be held in Plateau.
Janlong stated that the championship will tip off from February 13 to February 15 at the Sports Hall, Rayfield, Jos, Plateau.
He mentioned that the competition will feature the best teams from the North Central Zone, competing for honors.
“The purpose of staging this competition is to organize teams in the North Central Zone to compete and showcase their talents.
“We are very confident that the competition will be a successful one, as teams in this zone have been yearning for a competition of this nature for many years.
“We will also use this opportunity to give players the chance to compete and get noticed by scouts who will be attending,” Janlong said.
The competition, tagged “The North Central Invitational Championship,” will feature teams such as Be’ur Braves, FCT Rockets, Kogi Waves, and Kwara Falcons.
Other teams include Nasarawa Heats, Niger Potters, and hosts Plateau Peaks.
