John Konchar Agrees to One-Year Deal with New York Knicks

John Konchar has agreed to a one-year deal with the New York Knicks, according to his agent George S. Langberg of GSL Sports Group. The 30-year-old forward is entering his eighth NBA season after spending the 2025-26 campaign with the Memphis Grizzlies and Utah Jazz.

Konchar spent the first six seasons of his NBA career with Memphis before moving to Utah during the 2025-26 season. Across 56 appearances last season, he averaged 4.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.5 steals per game, while shooting 34.9% from three-point range.

The Knicks currently have limited room on their roster, meaning Konchar will have an opportunity to compete for a place on the final squad ahead of the 2026-27 season. His defensive ability and experience could give him a chance to earn a role during training camp.

New York have also brought in center Drew Eubanks as part of their efforts to complete the roster. Eubanks, like Konchar, will compete for a roster spot as the Knicks prepare for training camp.

Konchar has appeared in more than 360 NBA games during his career, giving the Knicks an experienced option as they assess their remaining roster positions. He originally entered the NBA with Memphis in 2019 after going undrafted.

The Knicks' roster battle is expected to become clearer during training camp, with several veterans competing for the remaining standard roster position. Konchar's one-year agreement gives him the opportunity to demonstrate his value before New York makes its final decisions.
