Enes Kanter Freedom Ejected From WNBA Game After Clash With Natasha Cloud

Former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom was removed from Sunday’s WNBA matchup between the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever after a heated exchange with Sky guard Natasha Cloud. The incident occurred while Kanter Freedom was seated courtside during the game in Chicago.

Kanter Freedom stood up and moved toward the court after Cloud confronted him during a timeout. Security intervened and escorted him from the arena following the verbal confrontation.

The former NBA center was wearing a shirt featuring the statement “WOMAN noun. adult human female,” amid his outspoken involvement in the debate surrounding transgender participation in women’s sports. Earlier this month, he announced his intention to enter the 2027 WNBA Draft, arguing that the league’s current eligibility framework leaves room for such a move.

The confrontation adds another controversial chapter to the ongoing discussion surrounding gender eligibility in the WNBA, with Kanter Freedom having made the issue a prominent part of his recent public campaign.
