Nigeria's D'Tigers head into the third qualifying window of the African qualifiers for the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup knowing that every game could determine their chances of reaching the next stage. Fizdale's ability to unite the group and implement his system in a short period could prove decisive.

Mali, Cameroon, Tunisia, DR Congo, Cape Verde, Egypt, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea and Senegal have all produced impressive displays during the opening windows and will be aiming to strengthen their positions in the standings.
