Bradley Beal Returns to Clippers on Two-Year Deal

Bradley Beal will remain with the Los Angeles Clippers after agreeing to a two-year, $13.2 million contract. The deal includes a player option for the second season, giving the three-time All-Star another opportunity to establish himself in Los Angeles.

Beal entered free agency after turning down his $5.6 million player option and spent the past month considering alternatives, including reported interest from the Miami Heat. He ultimately opted to return to the Clippers, who were able to offer him improved financial terms while maintaining flexibility during the offseason.

The 33-year-old's first season with the Clippers was severely disrupted by injury. He appeared in only six games before suffering a fractured left hip that required season-ending surgery, averaging career lows of 8.2 points and 20.2 minutes per game during his limited action.

Beal enters his 15th NBA season with career averages of 21.4 points, 4.3 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 37.6% from three-point range. He previously established himself as one of the league's leading scorers during his long tenure with the Washington Wizards.

The Clippers have undergone significant changes since Beal's injury, moving away from an older roster while adding younger players and draft assets. The new agreement gives Beal a chance to contribute to the team's next phase if he can return to full health.
