Posted : 04 March 2024

The Boston Celtics demonstrated their dominance by defeating the Golden State Warriors 140-88, extending their winning streak to an impressive 11 games. Celebrating his 26th birthday, Jayson Tatum led the charge with a notable performance, scoring 27 points, while teammate Jaylen Brown contributed 29 points.

This victory solidified the Celtics' position at the top of the Eastern Conference and marked a historic achievement as they became the first NBA franchise to secure three wins in a single season with a margin of 50 or more points.

Tatum, reflecting on his outstanding birthday celebration, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to showcase his skills in front of the passionate Boston fans. With a commanding 48-12 record, the hosting Celtics dominated the first half, leading 82-38, allowing both teams to rest key players during the second half.

Despite the Warriors' coach, Steve Kerr, acknowledging their opponent's exceptional performance, he acknowledged that his team had to accept the defeat and move forward, emphasizing Boston's brilliance on both ends of the court.

In another noteworthy game, Victor Wembanyama showcased an outstanding all-around performance for the San Antonio Spurs, contributing 31 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, six blocked shots, and a steal in their 117-105 victory over the Indiana Pacers.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder maintained their lead in the Western Conference with a 118-110 win against the Phoenix Suns. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's impressive stats of 35 points, nine assists, eight rebounds, and three steals played a crucial role in securing the Thunder's victory.
