The Osun-based team defeated Government Secondary School, Adamawa, 73–62, to book a spot in the girls’ final of the long-running youth basketball competition.
Lanre Leke Academy, who dominated the tournament by winning all three of their previous matches, will face Government Secondary School, Karu, Abuja in a highly anticipated rematch. The two sides previously met in the group stage, where the Osun team emerged victorious.
In the boys’ category, Father O’Connel Science College, Niger, advanced to the final after overcoming Government Secondary School, Gwarinpa, Abuja, 59–48.

“I believe we will win. It’s historic for an Osun team to reach the final. We are proud,” she said.
On the other hand, Coach Rosemary Thompson of GSS Karu expressed confidence in her team’s chances despite the earlier loss.
“We’ve worked hard to get here. Don’t write us off, we’re coming with determination and a winning mentality,” she declared.
In the boys’ final build-up, Bishop Dimieari Head Coach, Nnamdi Nwaigbo, expressed similar determination.
