2026 All-BAL First Team Announced as Tournament MVP Craig Randall Tops the Star-Studded Lineup

Posted : 01 June 2026

The Basketball Africa League (BAL) has officially unveiled the prestigious 2026 All-BAL First Team lineup following the conclusion of the postseason tournament. Newly crowned tournament Most Valuable Player (MVP) Craig Randall headlined the selection after guiding the RSSB Tigers to a historic championship victory. The 30-year-old American shooting guard delivered a series of breathtaking offensive performances throughout the 2026 campaign.

Randall completely dominated the individual statistical leaderboards over the course of the continental tournament. The prolific scorer led the entire league in offensive production; he averaged an astonishing 36 points per contest while pushing his body to the limit with 38 minutes of playing time per game. During Sunday's intense championship final against Angolan giants Petro de Luanda, Randall showed incredible endurance by remaining on the hardwood for the entire match. He overcame a difficult shooting night to finish with a game-high 33 points.

The stellar All-BAL First Team features a balanced blend of elite backcourt playmakers and dominant frontcourt stars. Joining Randall in the elite lineup is Petro de Luanda's dependable guard Childe Dundao, who excelled for the Angolan runners-up. The dynamic duo of Donovan Williams and Majok Deng represented Libyan powerhouse Al Ahly Ly in the selection; their stellar play earned the club a highly competitive tournament run.

RSSB Tigers center Mangok Mathiang anchored the frontcourt positions on the All-BAL First Team roster. The athletic big man enjoyed a highly decorated individual campaign in Kigali; he walked away with both the 2026 BAL Defensive Player of the Year award and a championship ring. Mathiang's presence alongside Randall highlights the overall dominance of the Rwandan club during the business end of the season.

League officials simultaneously announced the All-BAL Second Team to recognize other standout contributors from the tournament. This secondary lineup features Tunisian point guard Omar Abada of Club Africain and the high-scoring Egyptian duo of Zack Lofton and Kevin Murphy from Al Ahly SC. Petro de Luanda's reliable forward Aboubacar Gakou and Al Ahly Ly's dominant center Jo Lual Acuil completed the star-studded secondary selection.
