The organisers of the 2025 Zenith Bank-Nigeria Women’s Basketball League Final 8 have unveiled an enhanced financial package for participating teams, with the tournament tipping off on Tuesday in Lagos.
As the top eight teams converge at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, organisers have promised a thrilling showcase of talent and competition, leaving no stone unturned in delivering an exciting experience for both players and fans.
According to the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), the total prize package for this year’s edition amounts to a record N15.6 million. The overall champions will receive N7.5 million, runners-up will take home N5 million, while the third-placed team will earn N3 million.
This significant investment by Zenith Bank, in partnership with the NBBF, underlines a strong commitment to the growth of women’s basketball and the empowerment of female athletes across the country.
Defending champions MFMBC will be in action alongside First Bank, Titans, Air Warriors, Dolphins, Bayelsa Whales, Royal Acres, and Nigeria Customs.
Fans can expect five days of electrifying basketball, with passion, grit, and championship spirit on full display. The round-robin tournament runs until 20 September 2025.
