Top Teams Gear Up for NBBF Women’s Basketball Final 8

Preparations are in full swing for the climax of the 2025 NBBF Women’s Basketball League, as organizers have confirmed new dates for the Final 8 tournament.

 

According to the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), the competition will take place at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos. Participating teams are expected to arrive on Monday, September 15, with matches scheduled from Tuesday, September 16 to Saturday, September 20. Teams will depart on Sunday, September 21.

 

In a statement, league chairperson Perpetual Clement congratulated all qualified teams and reiterated the federation’s commitment to hosting a successful and competitive championship.

 

A total of eight teams will battle for the title, with four each advancing from the Atlantic and Savannah Conferences.

 

Representing the Atlantic Conference are defending champions MFM, First Bank Basketball Club, Bayelsa Blue Whales, and Dolphins Basketball Club.

 

From the Savannah Conference, the qualifiers are Air Warriors, Royal Aces, Titans, and Nigeria Customs Basketball Club.

 

All eyes now turn to Lagos as these elite teams prepare to battle for supremacy in Nigerian women’s basketball.
