PremiumTrust Bank Abuja City International Half Marathon Set for December 6

Nigeria’s leading sports management company, Nilayo Sports Management Limited (NSML), has confirmed that the second edition of the PremiumTrust Bank Abuja City International Half Marathon will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, in the nation’s capital.

This year’s marathon, themed “Steady Strides,” symbolizes the discipline, resilience, and progress that define elite long-distance running. The theme also mirrors the steady growth of the event as it evolves into one of Africa’s most prestigious road races.

In a major achievement for Nigerian athletics, the marathon has been awarded the World Athletics Label for its second edition — an exceptional feat accomplished in record time. This makes it the first marathon in the world to attain the label so quickly, highlighting the exceptional organization by NSML and the visionary support of PremiumTrust Bank, one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing financial institutions.

The 2025 event is expected to attract elite athletes from across the globe, top local runners, and international officials from World Athletics, who will supervise the race.
