Faith Osamuyi leads the medal chase for Team Nigeria and will compete in the women’s 60m hurdles and 100m hurdles events.
Joining her is Ronke Akanbi, who will take on the women’s 1500m and 3000m steeplechase, while Sofia Efetebore is set to feature in both the women’s 60m and 100m sprints.
In the men’s events, Musa Great will compete in the 60m hurdles and 110m hurdles, while experienced sprinter Samson Nathaniel will run in the men’s 400m.
The team will be under the guidance of veteran coach Ojuola Ayinde, who is expected to provide technical and motivational support to the young athletes.
The Russian Athletics Week is an initiative of the Djoumessi Sports Agency, designed to provide emerging talents with international exposure and competitive experience.
