Lagos will play host to the inaugural Corporate Olympics on May 1, 2026, with organisers expecting participation from at least 5,000 professionals across various sectors.
The event, revealed by Trebla Albert, Technical Director of Work and Wellness Ltd., is designed to celebrate the human drive behind corporate productivity and showcase a unique blend of sports, wellness, and professional engagement.
Scheduled to take place at the Landmark Event Centre, the Corporate Olympics aims to unite employees from leading organisations for a day of competitive challenges, wellness activities, and team-building exercises.
Albert emphasised that the initiative is more than a sports competition, describing it as a movement that highlights the importance of employee wellbeing as a driver of productivity and innovation.
“It will create an avenue for professionals across industries to engage in healthy competition, while also strengthening bonds within and across organisations,” he said.
Daniel Maduneme, the event’s Project Manager, added that the Corporate Olympics offers a dynamic alternative to traditional corporate gatherings by combining strategy, sports, media engagement, and brand activations.
Resource person Maje Ayida encouraged companies to participate through team registration, sponsorship of activation zones, or strategic partnerships with the organisers.
He highlighted that such collaborations would promote wellness, improve employee performance, and foster a culture of healthy competition in the workplace.
Organisers expressed confidence that the event will grow into a landmark platform for corporate sports and wellness, strengthening professional networks and collaboration across Nigeria’s business community.
