The 2026 Enugu City International Marathon has received a significant boost after Nilayo Sports Management Limited unveiled six major corporate partners ahead of the second edition of the international road race scheduled for Aug. 29.
The organisers announced Aquafina Premium Drinking Water, Pinnacle Oil & Gas, African Pits and Quarries (APQ), Power Oil, Afia TV and Radio, and Enugu Air as official partners, reinforcing preparations for what is expected to be one of Nigeria's biggest road-running events.
According to Nilayo Sports Management Limited, the partnerships will strengthen key areas of the marathon, including athlete welfare, logistics, infrastructure, media coverage, wellness promotion and transportation.
Aquafina Premium Drinking Water, a brand of Seven-Up Bottling Company, has been named the Official Refreshment Partner and will provide hydration support through water stations positioned along the 42-kilometre route, as well as at the recovery and finish areas.
Pinnacle Oil & Gas joins as the Official Energy Partner, with responsibility for supporting race-day logistics, event infrastructure and fan engagement activities, while African Pits and Quarries will contribute to route preparation, event production and community-focused initiatives.
Power Oil will promote healthy living through wellness campaigns and lifestyle education during the marathon expo and race-day activities, underscoring the event's commitment to encouraging fitness beyond elite competition.
Afia TV and Radio has been appointed the Official Media Partner and will provide comprehensive coverage before, during and after the marathon through television and radio broadcasts, athlete interviews and live race updates.
Enugu Air completes the list of partners as the Official Airline Partner, providing travel support for elite athletes, officials, invited guests and sports tourists attending the event.
Nilayo Sports Management Limited said the growing support from leading corporate organisations reflects increasing confidence in the Enugu City International Marathon and its potential to become a leading road race in Africa.
The organisers noted that the partnerships align with their vision of delivering a world-class sporting event capable of promoting athletics, healthy living, tourism and economic development while projecting Enugu State to the international sporting community.
The second edition of the Enugu City International Marathon will be held on Aug. 29 under the theme, "Tomorrow Runs Here."
