Amusan, Enekwechi Absent from Stockholm Diamond League Roster

After placing fourth at the 2025 Diamond League opener in Xiamen, China, Nigeria’s Queen of the Track and world record-holder in the women’s 100m hurdles, Oluwatobiloba Amusan, will miss the seventh leg of the Diamond League in Stockholm.

The 28-year-old hurdler, who returned impressively to win her event at the fourth meeting in Rabat, Morocco, is notably absent from the athlete entry list for Stockholm. Her exclusion denies her a chance to build further momentum ahead of the World Athletics Championships scheduled for September in Tokyo, Japan.

Joining Amusan on the absentee list is Nigerian shot putter Chukwuebuka Enekwechi, who will also sit out the Stockholm leg. However, his absence is attributed to the men’s shot put not being on the event schedule for this particular meeting.

The Stockholm Olympic Stadium will still welcome a strong field of elite global athletes as the Diamond League season continues its build-up toward the global championships.
