Napoli faces legal threat from Victor Osimhen's agent over mocking TikTok video

Roberto Calenda, Victor Osimhen's agent, has expressed his intention to pursue legal action against Napoli after the club posted a mocking video of the striker on their TikTok account.

The video depicted Osimhen missing a penalty against Bologna, accompanied by a high-pitched voice saying "gimme penalty please." While the post has been removed, Calenda firmly stated his stance.

In response to the incident, Calenda wrote on X, "We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor. What happened today on Napoli's official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable.

A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted. A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news."

Osimhen's recent frustration was evident when he questioned manager Rudi Garcia after being substituted in the 86th minute of a goalless draw against Bologna.

The Nigeria international, who joined Napoli for a club-record fee of 81.3 million euros in the summer of 2020, played a pivotal role in their Serie A title win last season, scoring 26 goals in 32 league appearances.

Despite being heavily linked with Chelsea and Manchester United during the summer transfer window, the 24-year-old has netted three goals in six appearances this campaign.
