Former Chelsea coach targets Super Eagles' Ndidi for move to Germany
Posted : 27 August 2023
Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga champions, are actively considering the possibility of securing Wilfred Ndidi's services before the summer transfer window closes.
Despite recent quieting of exit rumors and Ndidi's appearances in all of Leicester City's five matches this season, Bayern Munich is expressing genuine interest in bringing the Super Eagles midfielder to the Bundesliga.
The club's head coach, Thomas Tuchel, has a longstanding admiration for Ndidi, even from his time at Paris Saint-Germain.
Ndidi is valued at £25 million with a year remaining on his Leicester City contract, and the club is keen to avoid him leaving for free when his contract expires in 2023/24, actively working to extend it by a year.
Since joining Leicester from KRC Genk in 2016, Ndidi has made 242 appearances, contributing 12 goals and 12 assists across all competitions.
