PSG Chairman disputes Messi's claim of non-recognition for World Cup Win

Paris Saint-Germain chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi has contradicted Lionel Messi's assertion that the French club didn't acknowledge his World Cup victory last year. Messi, who left PSG when his contract ended in June, expressed in an interview that he was the only player among the 25 who didn't receive recognition from the club for Argentina's World Cup triumph.
In response, Al-Khelaifi refuted Messi's account, stating that PSG had celebrated Messi both publicly and privately. He mentioned that they even released a video celebrating Messi during training sessions.
However, Al-Khelaifi emphasized that PSG is a French club and that it was a sensitive matter to celebrate such an event in the stadium. He noted the need to respect the country France, Messi's teammates on the French team, and PSG's own supporters.
Messi, after leaving PSG, joined Inter Miami in Major League Soccer (MLS) in July and won his first trophy with the team, the Leagues Cup, in August. Currently, Messi is dealing with a scar tissue problem, and Miami head coach Gerardo "Tata" Martino has confirmed his absence from an upcoming match against Orlando City.
