Chelsea's U21 team kicked off their Premier League Cup journey with a 4-1 win over Luton Town, featuring a goal from English-Nigerian winger Tyrique George.
Starting the match for the Blues was their Academy Scholar of the Year for 2022-2023, Somto Boniface, while George came off the bench in the 71st minute.
Leo Castledine and Dylan Williams set Chelsea on the path to victory before Millar Matthews-Lewis narrowed the gap for Luton.
Castledine scored again, and George sealed the win with his first-ever competitive goal for Chelsea's development team.
This milestone came in George's fourth appearance for the U21s, and he has already signed a professional contract that extends through the summer of 2025.
