Nigerian central defender absent from Fulham vs Chelsea
Posted : 29 September 2023
In the pre-match press conference ahead of Fulham's Premier League clash with Chelsea, manager Marco Silva confirmed that Tosin Adarabioyo, a Nigerian central defender born in Manchester, will not be participating in the upcoming match at Craven Cottage.
Tosin's potential move to Monaco in Ligue 1 on deadline day was thwarted as Fulham couldn't secure a replacement in time.
Following this, he has been absent from Fulham's recent games in both the Premier League and the League Cup.
Tosin had one appearance this season against Arsenal but has been grappling with a groin injury, leading to recent surgery.
Silva provided an injury update, stating that Tosin remains sidelined along with Adama Traore, and further assessments are being made for Kenny Tete.
Sasa is expected to be part of the squad for the upcoming match. Tosin's anticipated recovery time is approximately seven weeks from September 15, 2023.
