Ex-AC Milan forward predicts challenges for Napoli with Osimhen

Former AC Milan forward Antonio Cassano has expressed his belief that Napoli could face difficulties in matching their exceptional performance from the previous season, despite the presence of Victor Osimhen.
Under the guidance of Luciano Spalletti, Napoli had a remarkable campaign, winning 28 matches and suffering just four losses on their way to securing the Scudetto.
They also achieved an impressive feat in the Champions League, reaching the quarterfinals for the first time in their history.
Osimhen played a pivotal role in these achievements, contributing 31 goals across various competitions to propel Napoli forward.
However, the current summer has brought about significant changes for Napoli. Spalletti departed after the successful season, initially taking a sabbatical before eventually accepting the coaching role with the Italian national team.
Additionally, key defender Kim Min-Jae made a move to Bayern Munich. While Napoli managed to retain crucial players like Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Osimhen, and Zambo Anguissa, the club appointed Rudi Garcia as their new coach.
Despite these efforts, Antonio Cassano holds the view that replicating the achievements of the previous season, particularly under Spalletti, could prove to be an insurmountable challenge.
Cassano even boldly stated that Napoli might struggle to secure a top-four finish in the coming season, despite Osimhen's remarkable abilities on the field.
Napoli's current journey has already kicked off with a positive note, as they secured a 3-1 victory against Frosinone.
However, the landscape is expected to be more challenging, considering the strong performances of their rivals, including AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Juventus.
Cassano's outlook sheds light on the uncertainties that often come with transition periods, highlighting the difficulties Napoli might encounter as they navigate changes in coaching staff, player dynamics, and competition from formidable opponents.
