Portsmouth is nearing the acquisition of Chelsea's Nigerian-descent midfielder, Faustino Anjorin. According to Football.London, the Cobham product is on the brink of joining the former Premier League club on a loan deal until January 2024.
Despite attracting interest from clubs in the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, and Scotland, Chelsea aims to keep him in England.
In the English League One, John Mousinho's side holds seventh place after five rounds of matches and anticipates that the Anglo-Nigerian midfielder's addition will enhance their performance.
Anjorin's career has been hindered by frequent injuries, impeding his progress. Spending last season on loan at Championship side Huddersfield, the 21-year-old only managed nine appearances.
With his impending transfer to Fratton Park, the former England youth international aspires to revive his career.
